Windows 7 games explorer

Is there an easier way to throw my games into the explorer without going into my registry and tampering with key's values and binary data?

I've tried drag and dropping, that got me now where; then i saw a tutorial on how it's done, but i just don't have the time and it's a ridiculous waste of time to go through all those steps just so i can access my games in one supposed easy to use folder . They should fix this~

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, if you know how it's done post here !

ThanX

I've been using the drag and drop method with no trouble at all. Usually I start with a desktop icon (created by the install) and then copy that from the desktop to the games explorer, then delete the desktop icon.

This is the second time I've read about this type of trouble. While I don't have the issue myself, I'm curious as to what happens when you try this method?

After Creating a shortcut on my desktop for the game (usually after install it creates itself), then applying the drag and drop method to the games explorer, it appears as an unknown application with no icon, that's un-moveable and un-deleteable via traditional methods.

I had to go into my registry to delete the whole reg key. That comletely removed it from the explorer. Vista's was much easier to use, that's for sure.

Vista's games explorer was so much nicer to use, the windows 7 one is useless.

I stopped using games explorer and now just use a folder and i know this doesn't help fix your problem but would it not be easier and faster to just organize your shortcuts like this:

No problem. You can find some pretty good icons for your shortcuts here - deviantART: where ART meets application!

just put in the search bar what game you want.
