    Spider Solitaire Shortcut

    Hi all,

    I hope this is the right place for this post - It looked like the least wrong

    I want to do something that I thought was going to take me two seconds - Create a shortcut to Spider Solitaire.

    In trying to find out how to do it I've come across these 'magic' system shortcuts that look like this:

    %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /E,::{ED228FDF-9EA8-4870-83b1-96b02CFE0D52}

    (This one is a shortcut to the games 'folder').

    And this one - Which is a shortcut to the 'God' mode:
    explorer shell:::{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

    I'm now assuming that if I can find the right code to give to explorer, I can get a link to the Spider Solitaire game itself.

    Is this a completely daft assumption?

    If it's not - Can anyone tell what the correct code is? Or better yet point me to a list of codes which includes the rest of the games as well?

    If I'm way off track in getting this done - Can someone tell me how to do it please?

    In case you're wondering - I'm trying to add a shortcut to the game on ObjectDock.

    Thanks in advance,
    Paul.

    Hello Paul, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    You can create a shortcut for Spider Solitaire with the location below.

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\SpiderSolitaire\SpiderSolitaire.exe

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

    Many thanks Brink

    Many thanks Shawn - Just couldn't find the executables from the icons in the games folder.

    Also, a while after I posted the question I found I could just drag the game icon over the dock to create the docklet...
    (I'd tried it before with no success - must have misplaced the drop.)

    I also messed up by searching for a file with 'spider' in its name - in the Windows folder

    Paul.
