It worked perfectly fine for about 3-4 days and stopped working  giving me the small black screen at the top left of my screen and a error message saying "windows is searching for a solution" or sum like that and it just says "close program". I really wanna get back to gaming xD HELP PLEASE! ANY ANSWER IS APPRECIATED

The first thing I would try is right click the game's icon and hit run as administrator. This might not solve your problem, but it's a start until the masters find this thread.

FOR ALL OF YOU FRUSTRATED PEOPLE OUT THERE I FOUND THE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM :D you have to delete the settings files because oblivion apperently doesent like having dual-monitors and i had connected mine to one to test it out. and since i know that there are alot of you that cant figure it out here is the ULTIMATE SOLUTION

to delete settings go to :
My Documents > My Games > Oblivion

and now delete the 3 .ini (all of them) and your done :D NOW YOU CAN PLAYY
NOTE: you will have to reset all your settings again

DON'T DELETE YOUR SAVED GAMES JUST THE SETTINGS !

I was talking to steam a while ago about this and they said if you had an older copy installed onto your pc or not go into C:\Users\(Name)\Documents\My Games and rename Oblivion to " Oblivion_old " this worked for me
