medal of honor allied assault on X64

    Here is my issue:
I installed MOHAA (medal of honor allied assault) on a few computers with windows 7. Each of them did the same thing. It installed to both program files.

In the x86 program files it has the most of the install, however this install is missing 4 folders which go into the EAGAMES/mohaa/main folder.

In the plain program files, there is nothing in the main folder, but the EAGAMES/mohaa/main does exist.

In addition, the main folder in the 86 folder, has recently disappeared from view, yet when a search is done, the folder shows up in that search and I can view contents when opening containing folder.

So, here is the big question...is this a glitch in the windows 7 operating system? and if so, how do I go about fixing this issue of doubling of the program setup files?

    Thread moved from General Discussion

This appears to be an installer issue with the game itself. Unfortunately a lot of developers are lazy, and assume that operating systems will never evolve

rather than use the correct system for writing an installer they hard code the destination for their files. In many cases this is not an issue as all the files will be coded the same and the game will work correctly.

The only work around that I can think of here is if the game provides a choice on where to install point this to the program files(x86) folder or even to a completely separate location.

I recently reinstalled Far Cry on my Win 7 x64 and I had to do it in compatibility mode, if what barman58 suggested does not work, try to install it in "Compatibility Mode" to see what happens then.

One suggestion though, uninstall and clean registry so there are no instances of the game anywhere. Also get rid of the MoHaa folder on both directories if it doesn't get deleted automatically after uninstall.
