Zoo Tycoon 2 ES doesn`t install

    Hi fellas, I`m new here,

Can you help me with this?

Hi have ZT2 and all expansions and all of them install in XP and 7 x86 perfectly but, for some reason I can`t install the expansion Endangered Especies in my Windows 7 x64 since the setup doesn`t recognize my instalation of ZT2.

And I am installing the game and its expansions in the correct order so, can you help me please?

    Thanks

First of all, it is compatible when looking here: Windows 7 Compatibility for zoo: Drivers, Updates, Downloads tycoon 2

The reason it doesn't see the installation is because on Windows 7 x64, x86 programs are installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\ while x64 programs are installed in C:\Program Files\. It doesn't matter to which directory you install any program, but it's a way to separate them by type. You can either point it to C:\Program Files (x86)\ (which is most likely where ZT2 is currently installed) or if you can't do that, reinstall ZT2 into C:\Program Files\.

Thanks Product FRED but I sorted it out.

I already had the game files (including the expansion files) in the program files folder (not the x86 program files) but the game needed the registry details that install from the setup and thats why I started installing the game and its expansions again.

The problem was that I didn`t move the files in the game folder to another location before the install and the setup didn`t recognize the original zt2 or African Adventure expansion's exe and therefore didn`t let me install it, it only recognized the latest expansion exe in the old folder duh

I actually moved the game files in my previously OS install but I forgot it now

    Anyway, thanks
