    Hi watcher6342,

Many games will work under Windows 7 with minimal "goofing" :) In case you run into any issues, Compatibility Mode is one of the most common and useful fixes for getting an older game to run properly.

What sort of strategy games have you enjoyed playing in the past? If there are any in particular you're interested in, we can certainly tell you if they're compatible or not.

    Cheers,

i really am not into games that much. a co-worker said that rome was a pretty good strategy game and i thought i might give it a try. i have conan and dragons age in the closet and have never played them. when i purchased them, i thought i might be able to play them on the comp. with the controller. as soon as i found out i couldnt i shelved em. my son plays games, so he might try them whenever he gets the chance. shows how out dated i am. thanx for all the help.

Here's a tutorial for setting up Age of Conan to play using an Xbox 360 controller, if you're interested: Xbox 360 controller FTW - Age of Conan Forums

Rome: Total War and Dragon Age: Origins are both fantastic games but time consuming, and DAO is not really a strategy game in the RTS sense. If you're more of a casual player but like strategy games, I'd strongly recommend Plants vs. Zombies for PC... I have it on iPhone and am absolutely addicted!

    Hope that helps.
