    Online gaming lag?

So recently, I got a new computer with Windows 7 64 bit installed.
But when I tried to play some mmorpgs (massively multiplayer online role playing game) I started to lag every minute or so for 10-20 seconds. Now, I thought it was my internet connection but my web browsing was normal and loaded pages fast, and my brother could play the exact games and NOT lag.
I thought this was an issue with 64bit so I installed a 32 bit version.
    But still, the lag proceeds.
And I'm talking about server lag, not FPS lag.
Anyone have any solutions to this?
    Thanks!

EDIT: And btw, my other computer had windows 7 32 bit installed, the same as the one I have in my computer atm

    He's on windows 7 32 bit enterprise aswell...strangely.
But he upgraded from windows xp while I went from 64 bit to 32 bit.
    And could u explain homegroup?
Im not common with these terms

EDIT: Okay, I searched it up and found out what homegroup was.
but im not sure if I am using it for networking.
But when I go to homegroup via control panel, theres this text that says This computer belongs to a homegroup.

when you say every minute or so is it exactly every minute? could you time the lag spikes and let us know if they are exactly the same time apart , are you using wireless?
