Hi Prankster.

Sorry that what I suggested did not work for you. But I have taken the time to read over your previous posts and realized that you had a laptop. Now I know that laptops are a bit more difficult on gaming and upgrading. I have not read the entire thread but has any one suggested to upgrade your drivers for your operating system and your graphics card? And maybe even check if you have the latest drivers for your wireless adapter?

And as well have you made any changes in the last week that you think may have caused this problem to arise?, Downloading more than often? Having multiple programs open while trying to play games? Or have you installed anything recently?

Swifty.

Ok, Well, How would I go about updating the drivers for my operating system? Also, I could not find any updates on my Graphics Card on the Nvidia website. It says that the manufacturer made it "special" and I would have to go on the Asus website to find the updates. But I can't seem to find them. I have a Nvidia GeForce G210M 512MB.

Also, how do I know what kind of wireless card I have? The laptop came with a built in wireless adaptor so I have no clue what kind/type it is.

I have not made any changes what so ever on my computer. I suppose I could do a system restore a week back and see if that helps any.

Also, I have Windows 7 Home Premium if that helps getting the drivers for it!

Thanks!

Hi!

Well to get the latest drivers for your graphics card you would have to head over to the asus website and search up your graphics card and find the most recent driver. Before installing your new drivers go into control panel and uninstall programs and uninstall your current drivers for your graphics card should be labeled as Nvidia drivers. Then install the most current drivers. But I actually searched up on google and it directed me over to the Nvidia website so I will give you a link to it.

Here is a link to the most current drivers for your graphics card.
Notebook Drivers

If you want to figure out which wireless adapter you have you should go into your device manager which can be found by going into "Control panel>hardware and sound. Then the first thing at the top you will see Devices and Printers on the far right click Device manager. Go look under the drop down menu that says Network Adapters. Here I will give you a picture of it.

And as for your Windows 7 it should update itself when the automatic updates pop up on your screen asking for your approval to restart your computer for the updates to be installed so your good on that part.

Before you do anything drastic (like taking your machine to Best Buy), I'd make sure your card needs to be replaced.

Run a couple benchmarks to see if your card is under performing. If it is, then ok, get it replaced, but if it's not, then the worst thing you can do is take your machine to Best Buy.

First understand what Best Buy is. Best Buy is not in the business of selling great products; although, sometimes you'll luck out and get a good piece of hardware. Best Buy is not in the business of fixing, per se, your machine. Best Buy is in the business of selling extended warranties; that's how they make their money, not on what they actually sell.

If anything goes wrong with the machine their first response isn't to thoroughly test the machine, it's to simply reinstall the operating system back to stock.

Also understand that given your hardware, 1.3GHz cpu and a 210m (mobile), you can't expect great gaming performance. Specs that low are inexpensive, but the trade off is performance.

I'd tell you to run Vantage, but your system will most likely choke, so you may want to run 3DMark 06 instead, then also run Passmark.

RC hangs ~every 4 seconds for about 2-3 seconds
Pretty much the title here. Except sometimes it will work just fine if I'm not doing too much. The startup also hangs after the splash logo to the login screen for about 10 seconds. In build 7000, there was no lag at all. Any ideas? Driver suggestions? Not sure.... Thanks!
