7 feels faster & smoother to me than XP.Mostly due to managing and using memory better I think.

After getting used to 7 and going back to XP it seems apparent.

    Perhaps it just me though.

This one i wanna have it disable. I mean, the small windows ( ) on top of the Mozilla in the taskbar.
That's called Aero Peek. It is a useful feature (to me atleast) to preview a window. It becomes more helpful the more you have open. If you must disable it, here's a link:

I think you didn't understand me.
I'm not talking about this : YouTube - How to disable Windows7 Aero Peek
I'm gonna attach one more picture, with 5-6 Mozilla open at same time.
    ImageShack® - Online Media Hosting
So, can i disable this ?

    I think i'll go for 7
    I remember when i installed last year,Windows 7 RC build 7100 71xx , i was actually surprised.
    But there was a few thinks i didn't like ( that's a question of taste )
I don't know how to describe that ,but i try : when you move your mouse cursor over the desktop icons ( not only there ) i wish i could have it like in XP,i mean, no "wawes / shadows " or whatever.
The same when you move the mouse cursor over the C/D/E/F partition. Same think, i hate that :)
And i don't think there is a way to disable this feature. But like i said " that's a question of taste"
I attache here a link with a picture made in Windows 7,i hope you'll understand what i mean.

The mouse cursor is right over the MOVIE MAKER BETA icon.
So guys ? Is that possible to disable this "effect"?
I attach the link, again, to see and understand what i'm talking about.

So if you did manage to disable the colored frame what would you like to see in it's place. And I really must ask is it worth the hassle. Could you not bring yourself to accept these changes and live with them for a while. They would undoubtedly then become the norm. Of course, when the next version of Windows came out you would be back to square one. As an older member of this Forum who is well past his four score years and ten I would suggest that there are much more interesting and important things in life than these little niggles.

I have read all this and it's a lot of reading. Like most of us who have went to Windows 7 you will find things that are different than XP. There is a learning curve. Most of all little things that are different between the two systems you will find some sort of answer with a search on the site. I never though I would ever stop using XP-PRO but I went to Windows 7 Home Premium 64 and fooled around with it for about a week and decided it was a great move. I use God Mode and think it's great; if you can't do it there you probably don't need to do it. There is only so much you can do to make Windows 7 work and look like XP. IMHO if one wants Windows 7 to be XP just install XP again and be happy. Give Windows 7 and yourself a chance to get to know each other.
