    Frozen password

Heres one for you, on the laptop I've just got (used) Acer Aspire 5680, setting the passwords in the Bios, User and Supervisor OK, but HDD Password is showing FROZEN, and no, Frozen is not the password.

So how do I unfreeze it.?

    Remove your hard drive.Reboot computer.
While its rebooting press F2 to enter the BIOS
Press Alt-F to restore BIOS defaults
    Replace the hard drive

On some systems, if you enter an incorrect password 3 times in a row, the system locks up and may display such a message. The only way to continue is to restart. This is eaily done if your password contains capital letters and you catch the Caps Lock key by mistake.
