It doesn't matter since the changes are all made at the same registry location for either way you do it.

You may have an invalid item added. Go ahead and post a screenshot of the either GPEDIT or registry location, and I'll test to see what may the issue.

Holty,

Use only MyPictures for the entry instead to see if that may work better for you.

With only one entry, you should only have that one for My Pictures and the default Computer in the places bar like below. Is this what you are seeing?

What program are you looking at the "Save As" window from? If it's a 3rd party program, then that program may not allow it.

As a test, look at the same location that I used above by opening regedit, and clicking on File and Export to see if you see the same as I do.

It's the most annoying thing I have to deal with. I have a 2 Monitor Setup, one main monitor and my tv as second monitor which I use to watch movies, online stuff, youtube etc. So when I eat and watch a youtube show, then close the window and turn my tv off / switch channels or whatever and want...

Can you add the "Navigation Pane" to a programs save dialogue window?
Hey, I searched for this but I admit I wasn't overly thorough. So I apologise in advance if this has already been answered. In some programs (eg. Firefox) the save dialogue window has the Navigation pane on the left. Whereas other programs (eg. Foxit reader, acrobat reader) do not. I find...

Adding shortcuts to "open" window
Hi all, If I click "file/open" when using the software I have at work, in the window that opens I often have to end up navigating through a complex folder structure to get to the file I want to open. Is there a way of adding shortcuts on the bar on the left of the panal that comes up when I...

Have "save download window" stay large?
Hello all This may seem like a silly thing to care about but one of the best things I like about Win7 coming from XP is the ability to make the window that comes up when you download something much bigger. Was always a pain to deal with such a small one with XP. About the only thing is...

Acrobat: "Save pdf file as" window always in background
We generate a lot of pdf files, usually by printing them from whatever application the original content is in. In Windows 7, the "save pdf file as" window does not pop up on top of other windows making it difficult to print to pdf with several windows open or an app maximized. Some of my less...

Hi! I "told" Maxthon (i.e. Internet Explorer) to open f4v files with VLC. However, I'd like to have back the dialog window that asks if I want to open or save such files. How do I do that? :o Thanks, diodorus
