    Windows 7 64 bit Home

Can anyone explain to me why permissions has suddenly become a big issue for me on nearly all my major programs. The windows installer configuration mechanism always seem to be called for as well especially on a right-click of extensions...I realise there may be a major issue on my machine which is running well. but I can not for the life of me work out what the problem/s are. I have adjusted the owner and administrator permissions on both and all Adobe CS5 and office 2010 products. Would the fact that I still have office 2007 and all the adobe equivalent CS4 programs still on my machine affect my machine in this way>...anyone please

Are you talking about the User Account Setting option or something else?

Sorry I was not clear in my description....the problem seems to be that every time I right click on say a Office or most other extensions I get a message 'the windows installer is reconfiguring and collecting data' ..it does this all the time..although it not real big deal I have to sit thro a few minutes of this each time. ANNOYING..If I open directly the office 2010 program or Acrobat I can open these extension with little problem..although when I then want to open a 'saved' say a word doc file it happens again..any idea... I have gone thro via security changes .. advanced ... all the owner permissions and ensured all my major program have absolute full control... Anyone please? Could it be my system ? I had to do a windows 7 repair a few days ago...I noticed the other day my system was an hour wrong which I put right..could this have effected the windows installer..?. I am sure this is the problem area. How can I tell if the installer is working correctly? what happens if a re-register the installer?

I don't know about the Adobe products but my limited expeience with 2007 and 2010 on the same machine was not pleasant.

I would use revouninstaller to remove office 2010 and the office 2007 and then install only 2010.

    Hello artinusa.

It would also be a good idea to run some virus scans, at the link below download and install the free version of Malwarebytes, when installed run a full scan of the complete PC, if it finds something run additional scans until it comes clean.
Be sure to keep us informed.
