    Can i run windows7???

Hey guys i have a pretty old computer the configuration of which is 3.0ghz HT intel processor with 512mb ram and a 6600gt nvidia graphics card. now the upgrade advisr approved of everything save 512 mb ram. so now if i buy a 1 gb ddr1 ram and totaly have a 1.5gb ram will it suffice to run win 7. also im no heavy user. i just browse the web or see movies or listen to some music. but my xp starts within 45 sec and i hate windows taking its own gala time to start. so can win 7 start in 45 sec or less so then i can buy the ram.thanks in advance

I'm not sure it will start in 45 seconds, as I've never tried on a computer with those exact specs, but it shouldn't take too long. If you leave superfetch on (for some reason a lot of people recommend turning it off) the boot should speed up a little over time.
