Do you know how to open Services?

Check there, in Services, and see if the Desktop Window Manager Session Manager service is started. If it is not, start it.

Check startup type of that service, it should be Automatic.

What about the Themes service? If you go in the Start Menu and type in the search box "services.msc", check in Services to ensure this service is set to automatic and currently on.
Okay it worked for me thanks ! :) but it still does not accept more themes than the theme "Windows 7"

Now, this seems to be just another thread serving as a teaching example on why peeps shouldn't be stopping Windows services out of whim. Right?

What exactly happens when you choose another theme?

& now that you have started both services, have you tried creating a new theme? Let's see if that works.

Is it a custom theme you are trying to install?
If Yes. Have you patched the three system files?
