Use XP mode and you can have your doggie back in that.

Download Windows Virtual PC Beta and XP Mode Beta

Ahhhh, this is great, I despise and hate the search system in Vista & Windows 7. It is about the only thing I miss the much about XP.

    Much appreciated

You can use the doggie in XP-Mode, but I doubt it's gonna work for your files & folders in Win7. It could work, but with a workaround.

I don't think that's the thing they want, when they say "they want their doggie back".

    What was "the doggie".
I've still got an XP system but never seen "The doggie".

I suppose we can all learn something every day.

Now I've found it -- on my Windows XP system (SP3) you have to click the "Click here to use search companion" - then you get the "doggie" back again.

Actually once you get used to it the W7 search is far better, quicker and actually more intuitive to use as well.

    Cheers
