Fairly certain this one-time click is just the power being cut to the components. Many laptops make the same noise when the power is shut off.

Clicking sound at end of audio
When a sound plays on the computer, it makes a funny clicking noise at the end of it almost like it has got stuck- The problem can be temporary solved by changing the audio settings but when you log off and back on the problem still persists. Any ideas? Does it on several different machines!
