    Two Control Panels

Been using the RC for a while now and the only real bug I've noticed is that there are two control panel icons on my desktop toolbar. I've tried unchecking control panel by right clicking the desktop-->personalize-->change desktop icons but it keeps reappearing. Any ideas?

Some software somewhere is set to add the CP to the desktop (like perhaps a registry tweak / tweak program)?

yeah, i'm not running anything that would do that. It started immediately after I installed it so it couldn't be some other software

One thing I have seen cause this type of thing is an icon on the default or Public Users desktop, (it's hidden under the users tree on the system drive), probably some other glitch but worth a look

This would appear to be normal, although whether or not it is a bug I'm not sure. Anyway, on my system there are 2 icons for this in the toolbar (see below). The first of these opens the control panel in a list, as shown in the 1st image. The second opens it as normal (2nd image).

it shouldn't appear twice irrespective of how they differ (in terms of viewing i mean). mine opens up like a list if the desktop toolbar isn't expanded fully. otherwise it opens up as normal

Just checked and same here - looks like I'd missed it

Is strange as there is only one desktop icon available on the personalize screen and if you create shortcuts from the different icons in the desktop menu they appear identical

Time to fire up the feedback tool

    Edit

    Feedback sent

Yep got it too. Delete the one that doesnt expand. Or does it appear again on startup?

Edit: Just realized it shows up immediately
