    Desktop issues

When I save something to the desktop it doesn't appear on the desktop. It goes into a desktop folder at Users/mike/desktop, apparently the desktop showing on my screen is a system desktop. any help to fix this would be appreciated. May be a stupid question.

How long has this been happening?

How did you get Seven, clean install, upgrade or preinstalled?

Did it just start and any circumstances that we should know about. Did you change something?

Mine id c:/users/mike/desktop, but when I save I have to go to start, Mike and double click Desktop to find the folder, it doesn't go straight to the screen desktop.

Just to make sure, right click an empty spot on the desktop to see if there's a check at "Show ... "
