why do i get the doted lines on my start button when i use classic mode?????
why use classic mode . ok i use classic mode to get as much performance out of my pc thats why.
but still i shouldnt get the dotted lines on my start button. i always use classic mod and never had the doted lines on the start button beffore im just guessing it can be a bad install of windows.
I decided to try it just to see and I don't get the dotted line you have. I wouldn't go calling it a bad install though. What other changes have you made?
Well you are doing it wrong. Turning Aero off for performance reasons is pointless. Aero itself, the transparent window borders all those animations are done on the GPU. Now if your GPU is crap beyond comprehension then sure. However, classic mode uses the CPU to draw and build the borders of the window and all that good (ugly) stuff. Classic mode steals precious CPU time away from your applications, didn't you know? Thats why Aero was created which uses DirectX and works exclusively on the GPU.
Face it, you want to be running Aero, offload the GUI work to the under utilized GPU.
And no you do not have a crap graphics card. In fact I think you have to be joking.
Get as much performance out of your PC? Geeze my computer is crap compared and yet no performance issues.
(Aside from high-end gaming...)
dom i did ur advice but nothing happend still the same. logicearh i didnt turn areo off i just picked classic mode? and becides how do i turn areo on if its off in classic mode.
