Window not open in same size and place

Win 7 Ultimate (64). This is affecting all apps. Have already gone on line for fixes (see attached), but none I've tried have worked. I have not done registry changes.

I think Windows only remembers last active Window of an application, as I have never been successful in getting it to remember.

    mugwampbro - I don't show what you're seeing. Sorry, can't help.

RoWin7 - the only other thread I have going is about "Sound." I also went back 5 pages to see if I asked a question about Window not open in same size and place, and didn't see any. If I'm wrong, could you repeat or offer a new suggestion? Thanks.

iko22 - Even that doesn't hold. Something is corrupted. Tweaking.com usually sets thing straight, but not this.

RoWin7 - You may be a senior member, but in my case, you're making no sense. No need to respond

That's a normal thing. Windows doesn't remembers positions or sizes of any window in the system.
Instead, it's up to each program to place their windows wherever they want. The shortcuts of programs can sometimes indicate if the windows should be maximized/minimized initially, but that setting is ultimately honored or ignored by each and every program.

Windows don't include any way of "remembering" such things, although some third party programs claim to do so.

Bold means that the thread is unread, the forum keeps this for every user as he goes reading topics, they become unbolded. There is nothing you can do to influence this.
