    Config.sys in win7

I´ve bought a new notebook with win7 and I have an old DOS program, which I want to use with Dosbox. When I trying to start the program the dosbox writes that I have to increase files to 130 in config.sys. But in Windows 7 there is no config.sys. Where can I increase the files to 130.
    Thanks

You have selected show hidden files and folders and clicked on apply? If so open Windows Explorer and in the left hand pane, click on Local disk (C). You should now see config.sys in the right pane toward the bottom of the list.

What you are doing is something that I did not try myself, just something that I learned, here at the forum. I told you all that I know.

I did reserach and came up with this. Hope its more helpful than my last post.

That tutorial is telling you how to create or edit autoexec.bat and config.sys. If the OP does not have a config.sys file, he can create one. I do have one on my system. It has one line: files=40. My autoexec.bat has one line, a remark: REM Dummy file for NTVDM.

Matthew, I created you a config.sys with the line files=130. Download and save this to C:\, then unzip it.

Caveat: this is assuming that you have no config.sys already in place. It you get the message asking you about overwriting an existing file, cancel or click No. This would mean that file exists in your root directory.
