    Multiple Windows folders

This may sound weird, but after installing Win7, I have two Windows folders, one on my C: drive and one on my D: drive, which is another partition. I also have two Users folders and so forth.
They all seem to be modified daily, so I'm wondering... how do I get rid of the folders on D: ?
    Thank you

    Is one windows.old
    or a backup?

Sounds like it may be system restore or shadow copies.

^ Like he said. If you have upgraded from and earlier version to Windows 7, you will have Windows.old folder. I am a bit doubtful about having 2 Users folders. Are you sure they are updated daily? Try creating a new user and create a file after logging in from that user's account. Do you see that file being replicated on both partitions in the respective desktop folder of that particular user?
