Windows 7 bld7000 has vista boot screen!
Indeed, we'll just have to wait for an update or new version of the OS.
At least for displays not supporting 1024x768. For those that do and are still seeing the Vista boot animation my advice hold true under scrutiny -- install 7 into unpartitioned space space and let it create the 200MB system partition in addition to the desired size boot partition or you will not see the new "neutron" animation available with Windows 7.
yup i guess so, besides, having the 200mb partition makes things snappier (especially for those on ide hdds)
me n a bunch of friends had tried various configs for W7 since PDC copy got leaked. since then we have been playing around with various builds from 6801 - 7004... one of us owns a pentium 3 with ide hdd lappy and when installed with the 200mb partition, W7 runs significantly faster than installing it without. it just did. as a guess, i think i has something to do with the superfetch policy on partitions and drives. as for me, im currently on build 7000 and i had implemented *embedding* using components from windows Xp embedded. (ewfmgr.exe).
in the end, its too early to tell about what W7 is capable of, its only half baked..(but already performing.. oh so well :)

OK, I'll bite. Can you point me at some more info about this *embedding* please?
Windows Embedded - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
there were a few kiosks that i looked at that had WinXP embedded around some stores......
mainly for enterprises though,..

lmfao - Umm, we know *what* it is we want to know how to *achieve* it as the poster suggested he managed to achieve.
