    Pictures folder on taskbar minimizes to the Explorer icon


    hi. i dont know where to post this.

    in my taskbar, i have a shortcut for my pictures folder. but when i minimize it, it minimize to the explorer folder. how i change it. i want to minimize it to his shortcut, not to the explorer. but i want to keep explorer shortcut too.

    how i changed it?

    please help me. and sorry for my english.

    Hello Pajolool,

    On items opened by explorer pinned to the taskbar, the open windows will default to being displayed from the "Explorer" taskbar icon that is the farthest to the left (taskbar on bottom) or closest to the top (taskbar on side). A work around for this would be to unlock the taskbar, drag your pinned pictures folder icon to the left of the pinned Explorer icon. However, all explorer windows will now default to the Pictures folder on the taskbar now.

I have an xls file that I frequent a lot and was hoping I could pin it to the explorer icon on my taskbar. I know I can pin it to the taskbar under the excel icon but I don't need an excel icon on my taskbar to clutter it up. Is there any way to pin it to the explorer icon instead?
