Hello Forloc, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You can enable the built-in Administrator account and log on to it to have full control.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

    Edit to my previous post:
This nearly solved all of the issue, still have the problem with some little files/programs. On a whole though, thank you very much!

Glad you have your system running as you prefer

One thing to remember - just as you are now running with full administrator privileges
on the system, so will any virus or malware you get onto your system. Make sure you always run a good anti-virus in active mode and perform regular full scans.

The most vociferous complaints from users of XP was that of low levels of security, the changes in win7 that you have circumvented were designed to close the major loophole in XPs security

    You're welcome iRHardcore.

Taking ownership of the ones that you still have a problem with may be able to help.

Be sure to head Nigel's warning posted above though. If you have full access, so does everything you run and open in your user account.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Most folks have a few accounts... The admin acc and then the other for the net and such things... Suggest not using the admin account for everything... GL :)

Truthfully, only true "geeks" work this way. The average user has one account, administrator equivalent and they don't know the difference or even that there are options. They bought the computer with an account up and running, and that's what they use. Trust me, I see 'em every day. Account name "Owner" is the most common in use.
