    Black Pixel on Desktop Only

    Hello,

I've seen other threads regarding this, but not an acceptable solution.

When I view my desktop, I see a small, black pixel. But, if I'm in another program, say Google Chrome, it doesn't even look like the pixel is missing.

I've tried using those programs to fix stuck pixels, but it doesn't get rid of it.

I'm thinking it's software related - but, as I've read in other posts, about it being AOL software related, I don't have any AOL software installed.

I've included a screenshot of it as well.

    Kind regards.

Hi Dutchcoffee and welcome to Windows 7 Forums

Do you get this regardless of which picture you have as your background, or is it just this particular one?

Okay, I've restarted it in safe mood, then in normal mode, which seems to have fixed the issue...for now.
