Not a problem. We have to make sure that the basics are covered.
I hope that you updated Malwarebytes before you used it, if not update and use again. We have to be sure of the answers in the areas that we are going to accept as not being a problem.
When did the problem start? If you remember what did you change or do before the problem?
That was fast, for this purpose you have to update MB and do the full scan. That takes 90 minutes
Umm, I think it started to show up a week before.
As I can remember, I just downloaded themes for windows 7 and some cleaner like tweaknow power pack, its for cleaning registry and eusing, and ace---its all for cleaning. I already uninstall the eusing and ace.
Yea, before I did the full scan, I already updated it. It took about an hour and 17 mins to be exact.:)
I think that this is easy to solve. Use a date one week before the problem and use system restore.
System Restore
Is using system restore gonna erase the files that I've downloaded within that week? Like the videos?
And is that gonna bring back what I've deleted files?:)
I cannot tell you what will happen, but rather what should happen and has happened every time that it has been used, when I recommended it, to the best of my knoweldege.
System restore is the best feature of Windows 7. If you go back a week. Everything that was changed in the OS, programs, etc, will go back to the way it was.
You pics, doucments, and videos should not be touched. To be 100% safe you can back them up first.
If it were my computer, I would just do the system restore.
All that being said, there is no way of knowing what will happen in your specific situation. You may do it incorrectly, the computer may malfunction etc. But I do not think that you will lose anything. Personal document files should not be brought back. Computer files will be.
The label on your USB desktop shortcut reads 'U3 System'. I've found the U3 software quite buggy and intrusive. Did these unwanted shortcuts appear about the time you first used this particular thumbdrive?
I wouldn't be at all surprised if U3 is the culprit here.
