C:/Emergency Shortcut
Every time I restart my computer, this shortcut keeps appearing in my desktop. I'm not sure why, and I'd like for it to stop appearing on my desktop all the time.
Thanks.

Can you post a screenshot of it? When you right click, choose properties where does it say the file is located?
What's the point of taking a screenshot of it? It's a shortcut folder on the desktop.
The location is C: as I thought it would be.
No there are no programs running...like I said this always appears upon booting my computer, even after I have trashed it so many times.
The location is the C: drive and the folder in C: is called "Emergency".
Yet on the desktop the folder is called "Emergency Backup"...yet it points to "Emergency" in the C: drive.
OK, don't take a screenshot of it, I thought it would help in case someone recognized it.
When did it first appear?
Have you tried one of those "timeline" backup apps. ?
Anything unusual in msconfig?

It was appearing...ever since I did something in that folder. All I remember, however is making a new folder in the Emergency folder, and that newly made folder had some music files, and video files. Ever since then it kept making "Emergency Backup" on the desktop, and this points to Emergency in C:
What's a timeline backup?
How am I supposed to notice something weird in msconfig? Most of the things listed there look pretty random so it's hard to tell whether or not something's up with it.

Until you get a better suggestion, I just happened to be browsing the tutorials, and saw this
