    how to remove windows7 access restrictions


    I had a few annoying problems with win7 so I deleted the partition that it was on and went back to using vista HP64-bit the problem is that the directories that I was using for personal files seem to have taken some sort of security features from win7 and now I am having problems with them in vista for example

    Access to the path 'D:\Documents\My Games\Far Cry 2\Benchmarks\Results\5.23.2009 9.47.49 PM' is denied

    I have the permissions in vista set correctly

    any help would be apreaciated

    FIXED
    I moved the target for these folders (and moved thier contents) to my maid drive and wala I can access them without any problems

    How do you mean?


    I'm looking for a way to get rid of the restrictions on my portable HD. i hate that I can't just use my own stuff. I'm trying to avoid copying and pasting over a terabyte worth of files.
