    A Required Privilege Is Not Held By The Client


    I am trying to copy a text file from my thumb drive the the root directory on my hard drive (c:\). When I try to do this I get the following message "Error 0x80070522 A Required Privilege Is Not Held By The Client". What do I need to do the overcome this condition.

    Hi

    Sounds like a permissions issue with the root folder of your hard drive. Any number of things could have caused this but here is a tutorial which should fix your problem...

    Take Ownership Shortcut

    "Taking ownership" will override the evident lack of permissions. Follow the tutorial carefully.

I have a weird Error 0x80070522 error on one of my partition. Why is weird ? Well because I cannot save anything on the partition because I receive this error.
