    Downloads Library (icon)

tl;dr: Anyone got a decent Downloads Library icon?

    Hey guys,
Loving Win7 atm (actually taken over as my main OS from OS X).
Today I had a proper dig at sorting out libraries - adding locations on my NAS through symbolic links, organised it all, etc. and I discovered the need for a downloads library.
Apparently, a fair few builds back, there was a downloads library but that is unfortunately no longer a default (I don't see why? If you need Pictures and Music libraries, why not downloads?), which means you have to create it yourself and therefore you're left with the slightly ambiguous default libraries icon.
I looked around in the imageres and shell32 dlls but I can't find any reference to a downloads library icon. :\

So anyone got a decent replacement or suggestion as to where I can find the resources to create my own?

    Hello eVox,

You can use METHOD ONE in the tutorial below to right click on the Downloads folder from your User Folder button in the Start Menu to create a Downloads Library folder.

    Hope this helps,

Yes, I know how to create a library...
I was wondering if anyone knew of an icon for the library I created though.

EDIT: Oops, looks like I already signed up to the forums before and forgot... Sorry about that.
    Hello eVox,

This will help show you how to change the icon for the Library to one that you wanted instead. :)

    Thanks.

And yeah, I also already know how to change a library's icon (thanks to your guide) but I would like to know if there is already an icon for a Downloads Library or if there are any resources which I could use to make my own...

You can use the default icon from within Windows 7 using the location below in the tutorial (step 6) to change it. :)

    C:\Windows\System32\imageres.dll,-184

And I also know that, sorry, but that's the download FOLDER icon, I was asking about a Downloads LIBRARY icon. Maybe a trivial difference for you, but I'm picky. :P
Sorry this is taking so long, I'm probably not being clear enough.

I assume the downloads library icon would've been (in previous builds) either #1001 or #1014, as they are both the same.

Ok. It took me a bit to locate that file, but you can download it in step 1 of the tutorial below. :)

    Ahh you are a star!
    Exactly what I wanted.

Can I ask where you found it, out of curiosity?

EDIT: It is slightly different -- perhaps the old style of Library icon? -- but it's certainly good enough.

Another quick request though, if you don't mind. :P
Noticed the 16x16 version of the icon is just the full icon sized down -- is there a download arrow anywhere which I could replace that 16x16 version with?

You're welcome. I had a old PNG file of it that I converted into a ICO file. I cannot find one with just the arrow for the 16x16 image in it though.

    Ah right.
No problem, thanks a lot for your help anyway. :)
