Switch User Disabled but still working!!!

    hi people

i have w7 pro 32 bits clients managed via GPO . I disable the option "switch user" and now appears grayed out, but also if I double click it brings me to the screen of user switching. the button is graed out but still works!!!!.
I miss a more enabling policy? Someone with the same problem? is a bug?

    txs!

Hello Milo, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see if using one of the methods in the tutorial below may be able to work better for you.

You might double check to make sure that you are not accidentally clicking on Log off, or another option, while double clicking on the grayed out Switch user.

As a test use the REG file download in step 1 of METHOD TWO, and restart the computer to see if that may work better for you.

I understand what you mean, but just not sure why it still works even though it is grayed out as well.

Could you post back a screenshot of the location below in your registry showing all of the right pane with "Switch user" disabled? I'm thinking it may be a language translation issue with the command being in English and your OS not English.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

As a test, create a new administrator account and disable "Switch user" to see if it works or not in it.
