Slow boot

The only prob I can see is that Dell Wireless manager might cause internet to not start until you turn it off and use the superior built-in Win7 wireless connection in bottom right System Tray.

You may want to turn back on Synaptics if you miss the touchpad's scrolling or tap-to-click features which I find annoying myself.

If you lose the ability to press Scan on printer and have it immediately show up on Desktop, you may need to check printer box.

You want MSE to start up with computer.

Thanks; actually I don't have an issue with the boot time. My initial problem and start of this thread was the five minutes ++ after the desktop loaded before I could do anything.
One question though: You mention Win7 wireless connector. Is that superior to Dells and would it work in place of Dells. I'm on my PC now so not able to try it at the moment.

Yes, I would use Windows network management from the System Tray instead of factory utility as I have urged several times.

The issues with having all of those freeloaders checked in msconfig is not just startup time, but they are running constantly as a drag on CPU/RAM when they don't need to be running. They can wait til you click on them. I only allow AV and gadgets in my startup.

Most tech enthusiasts eventually find a clean-copy installer for their Win7 version to clean reinstall to wiped HD, overcoming the bloatware larded into factory installs which provides almost all of the profit margin. We can help you with this when you're ready to go completely clean.
