    Good Morning!

I am new to this forum and new to Win7, having migrated against my very will to Windows 7 on a new HP desktop. Old system was an XP and I understood it reasonably well. However, having skipped Vista (whew!), I now often find myself quagmired trying to do the simplest things. So I am here to learn and to hopefully tweak Win7 to my liking.

I thank all for help, and my first question is: where in these forums do I best post questions of this sort: How do I remove the "are you sure you want to delete XXX file" dialog box? (I mean, I wouldn't turn down an answer right now, too....)

Welcome to Seven Forums gallant205. Suggest you start by searching these forums, that question has been asked and discussed multiple times. If after reading some previous threads, you don't find your particular answer, you can post in the appropriate forum (general is always a good place to start). A Guy

    Welcome to the forum Gallant205
Right click on your recycle bin and select properties and uncheck the "Display delete confirmation dialog"

Welcome Gallant205! Here's a hilighted screenshot of what kodi described...

    ~Maxx~

PS- In my 2 1/2 year experience with Vista it was much more of a PITA to those who did not use it than for those who actually used the RTM version in that it never ever crashed and started to the desktop using a lean 550 MB RAM which is not bad for an OS with a 97 thread kernel.

    Welcome Gallant205

An additional help resource would also be the massive Tutorial section here at SevenForums (Bigger & Cheaper than Walmart too)

    Howdy Ho

Just ordered a new Dell with 7, so I've been lurking about. I'll be back with questions in about 10 days.
