I have several questions, pls help me :)

    Hello, people!

I`m sorry but i didn`t find the right place for posting this thread, because i have several different questions, maybe stupid for some of you, but i`m still new with win 7 and want to ask you these things.. so i really hope that you can answer me :)

my questions are not something very serious, but there is not OTHER questions section :)

well the first of them all is why when i make something /for example I put a NEW toolbad on my quicklaunch with documents that i use often/ and after 2-3 turn-offs and turn ons of my computer the toolbar is gone and i have to put it again.. and it disappears again and i put it and so on... why windows doesn`t save this setting and always remove what i make.. the same with the different programs that i put to open different files - like i want .mpeg and .avi files to be opened with GOM Player, i use Open with and the the option "Always open the selelcted files with.." and next time when i doublwe click of such file, it again opens it with winamp, what i DON`T want, cause i made a playlist and when i don`t see it will open it with winamp, it messes up my playlist ;(
why it doesn`t save my options, pls tell me how to make it save them...

something else that i wanna ask is how can i find the buttons MOVE TO and COPY TO from the good old XP.. i wanna use them and put them next to the view option in my windows explorer and every other window i open :)

next question.. how can i see a MOVING .gif files with the normal Windows viewer that i see photos with? is there such way? cause when i click on a .gif file and click on open with windoes viewer it open is but it doesn`t move.. it opens such pictures always with internet explorer.. i don`t want.. can you tell me some other way to open them with some on the already installed programs.. without photoshop.. too long to open photoshop just to see a gif picture :)

and the last one.. for now.. can you give me some alternative of Flex Type 2K.. i wanna use bulgarina phonetic lkeyboard on my comp.. i tried with the languages that are in the windows, but what annoys me is that i can change the language with ctrl or with als and shift, but i wanna use different key combination for different languages, so that i can push alt + shift for example, and i know i will write with bulgarian phonetic, afte that i want english again, i push only shift and there is english now, i have no need to watch which is the language.. can u understand what i want? sorry for the thousands of explanations, but if i want a full answer i must explain well what i want to do :) aoo is there any way to make different combination of changing language in the normal windows or if there is not, can you give me the name of some programe , alternative of flex type 2k for win 7, cause i use flex type but i mut everytime start it by myself, it doesn`t start automatically when i turn on the computer.. maybe ti`s again cause my computer can not save my settings..

can you answer on these or some of these question, plssss!

    thank you in advance! :)

    Greetings from Bulgaria,
    Ani :)

I can answer the .gif question. "Windows Photo Viewer" cannot support such file, unfortunately. But you can download a free piece of software to view .gif files, such as this one.

Also, you can open the .gif file by "right clicking" and selecting the option, "Open With..." and selecting your browser, which will open the animation in the browser you choose.

Hello Ani from Bulgaria, welcome to Seven Forums!

Have a look at this tutorial at the link below for a way to add the "Move/Copy To" option to the right click context menu for easy use, I use this myself and it is very convenient to use.

yes, i make it EXACTLY the same way like in the tutorial.. my toolbar is in its place right now, but today when i turned on the computer it was gone, i put it and tomorrow it will be gone again.. i will have to put it again.. i don`t understand why my computer doesn`t "remember" that i "told" "him" to NOT remove this toolbar from there and it doesn`t save setting for opening exact kind of files with exact programs :)

"... I put a NEW toolbad on my quicklaunch with documents that i use often/ and after 2-3 turn-offs and turn ons of my computer the toolbar is gone..."
I can only assume you mean the icons for your documents disappear as you cannot create a toolbar on top of a toolbar. Are you sure it has gone? The quick launch toolbar, if you look closely, has a break which will shorten or lengthen it. What often happens is, when you boot the toolbar may shrink a bit and the icons at the end will disappear. Rest your cursor over the break point (3 vertical rows of little dots) and it becomes a double headed arrow. You can then slide the toolbar to make it longer.

"....how can i find the buttons MOVE TO and COPY TO....?
I am not sure what you had in XP as I can't remember that long a go, but I don't think you could simply "Copy to". The simple answer is to drag and drop with the right mouse button and select "Copy" or "Move". Otherwise, right click and select "Send to". You can add any location to the "Send to" drop down list by: Start | Run (type) shell:sendto (click Ok). Add the path to the folder you want.

".....how can i see a MOVING .gif files....?"
I think you are referring to animated .gif files. I am afraid you can't view these in an image viewer, which is why it opens in Internet Explorer. Even then it may not actually move. The other way is to open it in the programme you used to create it by right clicking and selecting "Open With..." If you created it. It should run pretty well instantly and not take the usual time to load the whole programme. Otherwise there are lots of animation viewers you can get online. Some for free. (I'm sorry but I don't make recommendations).
I am afraid I am not into languages so I can't help with your last question.
