    libraries sloooow, favorites gone??

Those libraries in explorer are sweet, but I don't know why they are so slow. I have two disks. On the first one is OS on the second all my documents (work). I linked the second disk (all the folders) to libraries (documents) and browsing those folders trough libraries is much much slower then going to second disk and browse them there. I can't explain myself how's that possible, since in libraries it's just link to second disk and folders and I'm still browsing all the stuff there... Also copy, paste, delete... all this functions are much slower trough libraries.
If anyone has a solution it would be much appreciated since win7 rc1 became my first OS and this thing is so annoying...?

The second thing I can't explain myself is where did the favorites go (look attached .jpg)? It's gone, can't add folders there, nothing...? Any ideas what to do?

thanks to anyone who has some solutions and is willing to help me out with this...

While in your favorites folder (as what you have pictured above), right click and choose "restore favorite links". Maybe they were removed for some unkown reason.

Hello Miq, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You should be able to also drag and drop the default folders, or any other folder you want, over Favorites in the left pane to add it as a link there.

    Hope this helps,

unfortunately none of this works... it looks like something collapsed in registry, I don't know... favorites are dead in my case and I'm really not willing to reinstall just for that reason, so if anyone finds any other option to make it function again I'l be really glad :)

also if there are any ideas how to speed up browse/copy/paste/move files and folders in libraries even better!

You can try a repair install without losing anything or having to reinstall your programs.

I downloaded windows 7 manager and the whole OS is much faster... also the libraries are fast if I switch off indexing... but unfortunately I need that for outlook...
