    16 GB ram Usable.

I have windows 7 professional, and I heard it could use 192 Gb of ram. I was kind of disappointed when I saw only 16 GB of my ram was usable. Help?

So where do you see these things?

I am sure you do not have 192gb of ram
It will show the amount that you have as usable or a little less

I'm not saying I have 192 GB of ram, I'm saying I've seen it can use that much. I HAVE 24 GB of ram, and 16 GB usable.

This says 16GB is the limit on x64 Home Premium, but you say you have Pro.

    Compare Windows 7 Editions

This Microsoft sheet lists the various RAM limits for 7.

Memory Limits for Windows Releases (Windows)

Even if you're using x64 with a 192GB limit, your usable RAM will be determined by what your mobo can handle. For that info you'd probably have to check your user manual or go to the manufacturer's website.

Have you done any tweaking with Windows settings? If you change the RAM options in the msconfig advanced boot options, it can affect the amount of usable RAM.
