    winfuture.de publish an image about WINDOWS7 SP1... Is possible microsoft release the system with an SP ??? the RC and betas is soo good, inst an bad idea to have an system with all updates!!!

    Why would there be an SP already? Surely Microsoft would just compile a build with the included updates/changes

    I've been hearing about this a bit. I think it's possible that MS is already working on SP1...especially seeing as how they have stated over and over that the RC is feature complete. The SP could be additional features that they have come up with since they froze the features.

    I've heard about it, too. However, it makes perfects sense to me:

    As I understand it, the path to RTM from RC is one of a feature lock-down with only performance tweaks and bug squashes going forward. Ergo, feature additions and enhancements would be sidetracked to a potential SP1 release.
