Windows 7: 7600 'Build is not genuine'

HD is 3 years old.

The thing is, a normal command prompt wouldn't use the chkdsk file as the header.
(C:\found.000\dir0001.chk\system32>)

Went through the repair install, and got this:

There are folder or file names on partition(C that the new Windows installation will need to use. Please rename the following files or folders:C:\Windows.

Possible evidence that the drive letter has slipped.

Will it complete Repair? If not did this error come when it checked compatibility at beginning, or is it in the middle of Repair?

If absolutely necessary, try to bail out and check to possibly correct the drive letter in Registry using Paragon Rescue CD as given in SIW2's post here: Moving Win7 Partition to Another Drive

I just decided to copy important files and perform a clean install. I'll see if the problem persists when the installation is done.
