Windows 7 Random Lag?
Hey guys,
Sometimes when I switch songs in my media player (Windows Media Player, Zune) I'll have to wait a few seconds for my computer to load the new song. On my previous system I would run XP SP3, on older parts, without this problem.
This is not the only time I'll experience hang times. Sometimes when I'm moving through Windows Explorer quickly I'll open a folder and click a subdirectory and then have to wait for the operating system to actually process my clicks. I can always hear my hard drive speed up, and then a few seconds later it'll bring me into the folder I clicked.
I frequently run disk defrags and recently checked my hard disk for errors, without finding any. I have a ton of space left on both of my hard drives (C: being a 300GB WD 10,000 RPM raptor and D: being a 500GB WD 5,200 RPM storage drive).
I'm not sure what could be causing the problems. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. It's legit, not cracked or hacked or any such nonsense. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
