    Mail has several handicaps that I don't appreciate.

    Since I use both, OE and WinMail, and I make them look and act pretty much the same, I must ask;

    What are you having problems with? What "handicaps"?

    Like so many things in Vista or Win-7, it's a lot harder to set things up the way I want them, but with lots of patience and perseverance, it can be done.

    I fault MS for taking something as simple, easy and user friendly as O.E.6 and turning it into a programming nightmare (WinMail).
    But it's just the setup that's the nightmare, , , the program itself actually works well. At least I've had no problems with it doing the basics of handling email.

    Cheers mates!

    I like my OE address book in a folder organization ... and I like to use a wab backup file.

    In OE .. you can operate from a wab file .. That's not imported into OE.
    and many of my addresses are not in OE's addresses.
    (I'm thinking this can be a security feature ???)

    Using Drag n Drop ..
    You can also drag the contacts from the OE wab folders to rebuild the address book folders.
    If one tries to import the wab file into Mail .. The folder organization is lost.

    So far .. I've not figured out a way to simply move OE's addresses to mail...
    or operate from a wab file directly.

    How'd you get OE into 7 ???
