I don't think you need to worry about any damages. But you will have a lot of restrictions which will make operating Win7 difficult.

i am doing fine with using windows. Are you sure it wont harm my hardware devices. Windows i dont mind cause i can always re run it.
I wanted to change to vista if i am risking my machine for that.
But i prefer to run seven aslong as my machine is on the safe side

are you sure it has nothing to do with the computers lifeline?

    thank you very much

I really do not see where hardware could be damaged. What specifically did you have in mind?

Software won't damage the machine with Unsupported hardware but the hardware itself might.

For example you might plug in a video card that totally BLOWS your power supply because of power consumption or you have a wrong module that delivers 8V instead of 4 V to the CPU --but these are rare.

Normally unsupported hardware just wont work if Windows can't make use of a "generic" driver.

DISCUSION WITH A FRIEND TOLD ME IT WOULD DAMAGE PY COMPUTER SOON.
BECAUSE THERE MAYBE SOME VOLTAGE PROBLEMS OR SOME THING. HE HAS NO CERTIFICATES BUT WORKS IN THE FIELD AS THIS IS A PRIMITIVE PLACE "MALDIVES"
    THE ARE NOT FACTS THOUGH

THIS IS AN OLD NEC LAPTOP AND ITS THE FAMOUS 915 GM ISSUE,

SO IWANT TO KNOW THE FACTS.
I HOPE YOU KNOW ENOUGH INFORMATION TO DECIDE
(Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset Family)
(Texas Instruments PCIxx21 Integrated FlashMedia Controller)
    THESE ARE THE TWO CULPRITS

PLEASE TELL ME IF IT COULD BADLY EFFECT PY PC

I have a similar chipset (intel 945) and the answer is NO, a big fat NO. if your computer is pluged into the correct voltage from the grid your power supply will adjust it to the correct voltage. (within acceptable limits.

Again it will not. Win7 will run on the 915 but with no Aero effects and probably VERY slowly.

    DEAR SIR

I RAN UPGRADE ADVISER AND IT ADVISED CUSTOM INSTALLATION
AND THAT MY VEDEO CARD DOES NOT SUPPORT AERO AND THAT ICANT EJOY IT
AND THEN Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection IT SAID I SHOULD DOWNLOAD THEM AND INSTALL AFTER WIN7 INSTALLATION
AND THAT THESE TWO DIVICE DRIVERS WHERE ABOUTS ARE UNKNOWN TO THEM
(Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset Family)
(Texas Instruments PCIxx21 Integrated FlashMedia Controller)
    I HAVE NOTREPLACED ANY THING
SO JUST THESE TWO DEVICES BEING UNKNOWN TO THE WINDOWS, COULD THERE BE ANY NEGATIVE EFECTS TO THE LAPTOP . ITS LIKE BODY AND MIND
    WE GET CONFUSED YOU KNOW
THANK YOU FOR INVOLVING AND TRIYING

    BEST REGAURDS
