    what's new in W7 Build 7137 edition


    i've been trying and trying to download the great version of W7, now they launch the build 7137? what's new on this edition and advantage of using this version???

    Hi edcarsky, welcome to the forums.

    If you already have build 7100 or 7127 then you may want to stick with them. There is only some minor tweaking & possibly driver updates in 7137. There have been some minor flaws found with 7137 but different setups will exhibit different behaviour.

    Yea I agree with the above, found a few issues, nothing major.

    Dont expect any major new features in any new build that will be released from now on.

Hi all I have just completed an upgrade to W7-X-64 ultimate from build 7137. I used the "change sources==>csversion.ini" method to allow upgrade -- worked fine. I'm using the version available to technet subscribers. I NEED the laptop tomorrow and I didn't want to re-install all my software...
4GB vs. 6GB RAM for build 7137
in Performance & Maintenance

For my 7137 x64, it seems the system is slower with 6GB RAM than 4GB RAM. Pagefiles are fixed at maximum size as recommended by Windows for both cases. Any one that has 6GB in their system seeing this?

Is it my imagination or is this 7137 slower than the previous builds? I've used every build since 7000 and this is the first time I have noticed this. Installing Microsoft Office seemed slow, booting up seems slow (like Vista). I'm sure I'm not imagining this. :shock:
