    Linux uses the full amount on a 32bit system - it's only the restraints put in by Microsoft that give this issue.

    This is also now true with 64bit installs and the restrictions MS have added depending on what flavour of W7 you have bought.

    It's simple to me, let Windows 7 handle your ram and page filing. I know of any good way to do otherwise. If one wants the use of more ram go to 64 bit. IMHO the tweaks we did in older system don't apply in Windows 7. Do your self a favor don't use any 3 party programs to try and change what Windows 7 already does quite well.
