    overnight


    I am planning to leave my laptop on overnight with Ac power on..will it damage the battery?

    It's fine if you leave it on all day and night.
    Poor ventilation would be bad whether you were there on it or it was just on and idle on its own, but the battery will degrade with time.

    It shouldn't. Mine's on 24/7 except when I travel which, as of late, has been infrequent.

    Edit: @yowanvista, good reminder regarding ventilation.

    No... it shouldn't, however you should let the battery completely drain from time to time, then recharge it ...

    It has excellent ventilation..I am only concerned about the battery...Switching the charger or 8-9 hrs is what worrying me?No problems rite?

    In a month how many times should I drain the battery completely and recharge it?
