    "Permissions problem"

    Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item

    please help!!

    installed some programme, but cannot run it.

    I've read some other tips telling me to turn off the IE Security Enhancement but it doesn't really work for Windows 7 does it.....

    Try running the program as administrator.

    What program did you install? Did you install it as one user and are trying to run it as another user? Can you enter the installation directory? Right click on the installation directory and compare the permissions vs. other folder you know you have access to.

    Hi bealeliu, can you be a little more specific?

    Have a look at this - How To Ask For Help for suggestions.

    Thanks

    See the end of this message for details on invoking

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

    another part of the error message...
    installed a game..
    i've tried running as administrator, as well as giving full control to the users, but it's just strange because I am the only user. I've read that it might not be a permissions problem per se...
