    Folders don't get focus

    Hi,
on a fresh install of Win 7 64 bit, in some situations when I open a folder (for eg. when I right-click on a link and choose open containing folder), the folder doesn't come to the front. It opens but sits blinking on the taskbar. I want it to get focus and come to the front. Does anyone know where the options for that sort of behaviour are?

    Thanks muchly.

Screenshot? I don't think so. Well I could but it wouldn't be so helpful. I'd need a video grab
I've discovered it's more than folders. For example I just double clicked on a an avi file in a folder, and while Windows Media player started playing it, the window remained behind the folder I was in and then you have the windows Media Player icon on the taskbar glowing and throbbing at me ;0
    Hmm...

If you don't mind a small registry edit,

    Active window to front

should fix that right up for you.

OK, thanks for that. Any idea why it's happening? It doesn't happen on my laptop, also installed with Win 7 64 bit. I can't understand where the issue is coming from.

Focusing issues often happen when running another software in the background... perhaps a torrent client or an a/v scan... I used to experience the same problems a few months ago, but it hasn't happened in ages, so its a bit of mystery to myself.
