    Can't install custom screensaver

I have a .scr file that I am trying to install, which allegedly I am supposed to be able to just right click and click install that way. However, the install option is not showing up when I do this. Other people have confirmed that the file works and can be installed for windows 7, as well as have the install option appear, but why might I not be able to? Any help is appreciated, and thanks.

    Hello Manick,

Right click on the .scr file, click on Properties, General tab, and on the Unblock button towards the bottom if there. If not, then the file is already unblocked.

Next, you may be able to just copy the file into the C:\Windows\System32 folder for you to be able to select to use it in the Screen Saver Settings window. If the .scr file is not Windows 7 compatible, then this will not work either.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
