Is there a recovery partition? Look for the key given on first boot screen to Run Factory Recovery. If it's not there, then look in the Manual at the Support Downloads webpage for your model computer. We can help you find it if you need it.

Unless it gives you an option to copy out your data, it will overwrite it unless you copy it out yourself using a Rescue Disk. You can download Free Paragon Rescue CD from their site here:
