    Logon using facial recognition

    hey there,

Is it possible to logon using only the facial recognition software? I've got asus n50vn with the asus smartlogon software, so i was woundering if its possible to only have that facial logon feature available at logon and someway of hiding the username password feature.

If this has been discussed before i'll be glad if someone linked me to the thread,

    cheers,

I dont think it would be and that would make sense. Smartlogon may not always work properly, E.g. if you didnt look straight into the camera when first setting it up, of if its too dark or too bright. Then if the username and password input boxes were hidden, you'd be in a fix.

yap...a shortage of the facial logon is like that..must be the straight to the camera laptop. but it should work well for me. you just take your face to straight to camera and do what the camera going.
but for more safety, i do double login on that. so it's can be login by facial logon and can be login by account.

It's a fun toy at the moment.

I had an issue with it when, after implementing the facial recognition log on one evening when my countenance at the time was quite acceptable, my morning countenance was determined to be too far unlike me to allow a normal log in based on facial recognition alone (hey, in my defense, it was a tough night).

Thank goodness for the old password standby. :)

I continue to use a password log in but I still play with the facial recognition stuff because it's fun. Currently, it should not be considered as much more than that.

With smartlogon, there is a feature where if facial recognition fails it has the option for you to enter your username and password which really eliminates the need for the windows default username and password.

Personally, I like FastAccess from Sensible Vision. Works well for me.
